Bilfinger Tebodin in North West Europe

Quality and safety

Quality and safety

Bilfinger Tebodin’s purpose is to add value by offering smart and sustainable solutions to our industrial clients. Regarding Quality, Occupational Health, Safety an Environment (QOHSE), our primary responsibilities of our employees and the company as a whole are listed in Bilfinger’s Code of Conduct. Specific QOHSE responsibilities are further explained in our QOHSE policy statement.

Our QOHSE policy is in line with our vision to exceed client’s expectations and honors our responsibility to society and environment. Our extensive QOHSE management system consists of Bilfinger Tebodin’s Business Standards, which are classified as Statements, Intents, How to, and Supporting Documents.

Just as in the other areas, the Bilfinger Tebodin companies in North West Europe have to guarantee compliance of QOHSE by means of an annual self-assessment. The execution of the assessment is done by a team of trained internal auditors. The results are processed and stored in our active database, a system in which incidents, near misses, unsafe conditions and proceedings can be registered and followed up. This also applies to audits and inspection planning, inspection execution and several (periodic) reports and statistics.

Re-certification ISO 9001 & OHSAS 18001

Our TQS management system, which is based on the ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001, is being reviewed every three years as part of the re-certification process. In March 2014 a team of four auditors from Lloyds Register visited our offices and projects and concluded finally that both certificates, ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001, could be granted again to Bilfinger Tebodin Netherlands B.V. The new certificates are valid for three years, but based on a half-yearly visit to check progress and improvement.

Mr. John Glas, representative of Lloyds Register, presented the new ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001 certificates to Mr. Niels van Rhenen in presence of representatives from all Dutch offices.
