Unique PPG plant opened in Russia

On June 16, 2017, PPG Industries opened its new manufacturing hub in Russia. The plant in the Lipetsk Special Economic Zone (SEZ) is the first world PPG plant to produce simultaneously 4 types of paints: protective & marine, automotive, industrial and packaging coatings. The capacity of the plant is 25,000 tons per year.

The project started in 2013 for Tebodin and included the conceptual design, process engineering management, basic design, procurement of general constructor, detail design, and author supervision. ‘We are proud to be a part of this project,’ comments Eduard Khakimov, Director Business development. ‘It is a big and significant enterprise for the city and region. We are glad to play a role in the development and consolidation of the Lipetsk SEZ and the country’s industrial market’.

PPG's Construction Manager Denys Ivanov stated: 'I have never  regretted that we selected Tebodin as general designer of our new manufacturing site. Starting from the concept till author supervisory services, we worked with Project Managers and Engineers from Tebodin’s locations in Russia (Moscow, Rostov, Ekaterinburg) and Ukraine (Lviv). The whole team performed very good: the project ran smoothly, without gaps in time or quality'.
