12/28/2021

On December 22, 2021 the groundbreaking ceremony of the TH Milk processing plant took place in Russia, Kaluga region. Bilfinger Tebodin has designed the facility, and will proceed with managing the construction works on site.

Once the first phase of the project is complete, the plant will have an initial production capacity of 500 tons of milk products per day. The second phase implies expansion, which will make the final facility a largest milk processing plant in Russia with a total capacity of 1,000 tons of milk products per day. The total area of the plant with complete infrastructure and landscaping will be 36,000 m2.

Bilfinger Tebodin is the General Designer of the project, also providing the services of a Technical Client in the PMC scope. The construction is planned to be finished by the second quarter of 2023.

Roy Piek, PMC Director in Russia at Bilfinger Tebodin:

We are very pleased to be part of such large project with TH Milk. Bilfinger Tebodin has started the project as a general designer some time ago, and recently the client has decided to order the full EPCM service from us. Our construction manager, who takes over the site management, has a long experience in building food factories in Russia. To supervise and visualize the progress of construction, our team will apply BIM 3-D and 4-D software, along with the latest drone and laser scanning equipment.’
