Ritter Starkstromtechnik and Tebodin join forces in multiple Chemelot projects

Daily knowledge exchange between professionals often leads to new ideas and better services. Working together on the power infrastructure at the Chemelot industrial park in the Netherlands, Tebodin and Ritter increasingly rely on each other.

Ritter Starkstromtechnik specializes in electrical installations and industrial automation. With over 550 employees and five production locations in Germany, the company develops and manufactures medium voltage systems, switchgear and switch components for customized solutions.

The Chemelot industrial park is home to dozens of chemical companies. Over the past few years, in different projects for Sitech Services and EdeA, Tebodin has been a consultant, a subcontractor and a client to Ritter Starkstromtechnik. For Sitech Services, Tebodin and Ritter worked together on the replacement of a 2kV distribution substation HSS-6 and on a new 10kV switchboard for the DSM’s Next Generation Sulfa project.

EdeA is the company responsible for the safe and reliable operation of all utilities at Chemelot. EdeA’s strategy is focused on producing and delivering electrical power, steam, water, air and technical gases at competitive prices. Since 2007, Tebodin and Ritter have jointly realized several major upgrades of Chemelot power facilities, including the new 10kV main distribution station HSS-2 and the Neerbeek phase 2 10kV distribution substation. The latest projects, completed this year, are Trafo Building 2 and Switchroom 1 Maurits 2.
