Press release: Hydrogen fueling station opened

On September 3, 2014, the Dutch State Secretary of Infrastructure and Environment mrs. W. Mansveld, has opened one of the first public hydrogen fueling stations in the Netherlands. In a partnership with the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment, Air Liquide has taken the lead in this innovative and sustainable public fueling station. Tebodin, part of Bilfinger SE, was responsible for the design.

The station is situated in the municipality of Albrandswaard and is directly connected to the North West-European hydrogen pipeline network of Air Liquide. It will provide hydrogen for city buses and hydrogen cars in the greater Rotterdam area.

Air Liquide awarded Tebodin with the civil, structural and infrastructural engineering and the construction management and supervision as well as the environmental permitting in cooperation with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment. The station has been constructed by BAM.
During the start-up phase, Tebodin took care of the site selection, consultation with all involved authorities and the completion of all permitting procedures.
