Looking back on the Industrial Heat & Power trade fair

10/11/2019

From 8 – 10 October Bilfinger Tebodin exhibited at the Industrial Heat & Power trade fair in Den Bosch (the Netherlands). Next to our stand, A002 in hall 2 our colleagues presented on multiple topics in the ‘Industrial Theatre’ in hall 2.

In order for the Dutch industry to realize 50% CO2 emission reduction in 2030 we must take steps now. Energy saving measures, use of residual heat, CO2 capture, utilization & storage, use of sustainable energy sources, biomass and optimal use of fossil fuels will play an important role in achieving this target. During the Industrial Heat & Power trade fair we provided visitors with practical examples of CO2 reduction projects and insights on these topics.

On Tuesday, Energy Specialist Mark Elderman kicked-off with a presentation about waste heat utilization and heat grids, focusing on the huge potential residual waste heat has to offer in the Netherlands and its important role in enabling the industry to achieve the energy transition goals. Also practical cases were discussed.

Secondly, Principal Consultant Maurice Houben took the floor and presented about Hydrogen and its future role in the Dutch energy transition. Again the seminar was well attented by approximately 100 visitors.

On Wednesday Bilfinger Tebodin hosted a seminar on CO2-capture. Petrus Postma of BLOC started with showing various CO2-capture projects and initiatives as well as in the Netherlands as in other countries.

Hans Wassenaar of waste-incineration company AVR then presented about project of the CO2-capture installation which has recently been taken into operation at their plant in Duiven. Bilfinger Tebodin supported AVR during the project. Energy Specialist Arasta Pourkamal continued, explaining the techniqal application of CO2-capture. Afterwards there was room for questions to the three presenters about CO2-capture.

Besides the three presentations we had a small stand at the trade fair at which different colleagues from multiple offices in the Netherlands welcomed visitors and informed them about our energy-related services. Many interesting contacts were laid.

We would like to thank all visitors to our stand and presentations!
