July 9-10, 2020, the 8th annual CIS Petrochemicals and Gas Monetization Digital Forum was held online. Bilfinger Tebodin, as an event partner, was a presenter on a virtual exhibition, Pavel Celunda, Process Engineering Director in CEE, spoke about timely company capabilities, sharing the most interesting cases and experiences. In total the conference gathered over 500 market players of such petrochemical and oil & gas companies as Gazprom Neft, Lukoil, Eurochem, Rosneft, Uralchem, Novatek, Acron, Oteko, Total, Nipigas, Line Engineering and many others.

Petrochemical and O&G markets today face a big turbulence and it is hard to predict the second half of 2020. It’s obvious that the market and products will face changes. A growing interest in hydrocarbons is one of the current trends. Also due to technology availability and reasonable costs, gas projects and gas as a raw material for processing are getting more attractive for many companies today.

Pavel Celunda: ‘The information received on the Furum confirmed the trends we see on various markets we are active in. The biggest focus is on green and sustainable solutions, new technologies. Still, their pressure is more political, than economical. Big companies like SIBUR are recently reevaluating their strategies. At the same time, after face to face chats, I clearly saw that such projects as pipelines, compressors, revamp of refineries, polyolefin etc., still run and will continue.’

CIS Petrochemicals and Gas Monetization Digital Forum is annually organized in Russia by Globuc company in partnership with Sibur. Its main purpose is to gather key petrochemical and oil & gas industry players and discuss current markets conditions, main trends and perspectives for the future. It was the first time the Forum went online in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
