Eneco selected Bilfinger Tebodin to cooperate on the realization and integration of several of its e-boiler projects for their own production facilities and clients. This cooperation brings the complete supply chain together in the realization of a more sustainable future.

Daniel Heere, Project Engineer at Eneco: “We selected Bilfinger Tebodin to cooperate on the realization and integration of several e-boiler projects because of their extensive knowledge and expertise in industrial electrification. They prove to be a reliable partner, engineering the best suitable e-boiler solutions for our clients.”

Eneco is an integrated, independent and growing energy company, active in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and the United Kingdom. Driven by the mission ‘everyone’s sustainable energy’, Eneco helps many consumers and companies switch to sustainable energy. With smart, sustainable and affordable products and services. Eneco also invest heavily in the development of sustainable energy projects, such as offshore wind farms or large solar roofs .The e-boiler is a great extension of their sustainable energy portfolio.

Bilfinger Tebodin and Eneco have already jointly developed a number of e-boiler projects and are working on more. “Electrification is a good solution for industrial companies to become less dependent on natural gas and reduce CO2 emissions,” says Izak Boot, Energy Consultant and Utility Engineer at Bilfinger Tebodin. “We see increasing attention for this CO2-neutral heating option and are glad that we can offer companies the complete turn-key solution for e-boilers in cooperation with Eneco.”

An e-boiler generates CO2-neutral heat using green electricity, and can be easily integrated in existing steam and hot water utilities. Bilfinger Tebodin provides engineering services for the integration of these assets and SDE++ subsidy is available to support the business case of an electrical boiler. The flexibility of a hybrid boilerhouse allows companies to make use of low electricity prices. For many this can be an interesting step in their roadmap to a zero emission factory. An e-boiler combined with a steam accumulator can further optimize the utilization of low energy prices. This also introduces the possibility to reduce the installed boiler peak capacity and therefore the required electrical connection capacity.
