The opening ceremony of the office and warehouse complex STIHL took place in September in Krasnodar. The new 6.352 m2 office and warehouse complex of the German company STIHL will allow to expand the sales and service network in the south of Russia: today there are over 450 dealer centers of the SHTILE ZYUUDVEST Ltd.  in the country. Around 10.000 products will be stored in the warehouse – power tools and equipment for wood industry, agriculture, construction, gardening and landscape design under the brands of STIHL and VIKING, widely known in 160 countries.

Bilfinger Tebodin provided management services on the site for over a year. The scope of work included representing client’s interests in work and communication with the general contractor at all stages of the construction process: collection of project documentation, contract and HSE control, checking of the documentation provided by the General Contractor, consulting in the preparation for obtaining an operational commissioning permit, commissioning control.

This is not the first project for STIHL. Bilfinger Tebodin cooperated on two other STIHL facilities. In 2007-2010, we worked on an EPCm-contract, providing the overall project management for the construction of an office and warehouse complex in Kiev, Ukraine. Earlier, in Poland Bilfinger Tebodin provided consulting and project management services for the construction of STIHL’s logistics center in Tarnovo Padgurn.

Roy Piek, Director PMC at Bilfinger Tebodin, mentioned that he highly appreciates the cooperation with STIHL and client’s approach to the project: using new technologies and sustaining high standards for the design and construction of its facilities.

Andrey Gubenko, General Director of SHTILE ZYUUDVEST Ltd. commented: ‘This facility will reduce the company's expenditures and let us have a larger stock of products of the most diverse range to meet the customers’ needs. The complex also includes a training center for dealers to improve the quality of trade and service in the region. The facility is designed to allow a possible further expansion, and includes not only the warehouse, but also an office building, serves to unite our team in one environment – in our new own house. This is an important step for STIHL, confirming the most serious development intentions on the Russian market’.
