The Central & Eastern European Automotive Forum took place mid-October in Prague, Czech Republic where 230 participants and more than 50 speakers shared and discussed the latest trends in the automotive sector in the region. Among speakers were members of management of well-known automotive brands like Opel, Fiat and Škoda. Suppliers were represented by speakers from companies like Bosch, Faurecia, Johnson Controls Also governments participated, represented by local investment agencies. There was an ongoing discussion during both days especially about shrinking labor force in the region and about cost oriented procurement process in the industry.
On behalf of Tebodin, Jaromír Kříž, Area Director Central & Eastern Europe, gave a presentation about Tebodin’s track record in the automotive industry and lessons learned from their projects in this dynamic sector. The main topics Jaromir Kriz addressed were construction cost, careful project planning and our lean approach towards EPCm projects – with the Gestamp facility in France as example.
In Central & Eastern Europe Tebodin has been working on more than 300 automotive projects for more than 100 clients in 2014 and 2015. Jan Bobek, business developer for this area: ‘Currently, some offices are working on 4 OEM projects in the region. During 2015, 24% of our revenue came from the automotive industry. I may concluded that we are one of the engineering leaders in this sector.’
