Online sessions at the European Industry & Energy Summit

Event ended.

On December 8th and 9th, the European Industry & Energy Summit took place. On both days, colleagues from Bilfinger Tebodin held sessions about energy efficiency and electrification and CCUS. Wouter van Gerwen led both sessions.

Session 1 – Practical examples of energy efficiency and electrification

Speakers: Izak Boot and Joost Zittema

In order to meet climate targets, many companies are investigating how they can become less dependent on natural gas. Electrification is one of the possibilities, but also has its drawbacks. Bilfinger Tebodin advocates smart electrification by using a step-by-step plan. During this session, Izak and Joost discussed this step-by-step plan based on a number of cases.

Session 2 – CCUS as key pillar to net-zero emissions

Speakers: René de Schutter and Tim Speelman

Carbon Capture Utilization & Storage (CCUS) will need to form a key pillar of efforts to put the world on the path to net-zero emissions. This opening statement in the September 2020 IEA report is embraced by Bilfinger Tebodin. During this session, René and Tim provided an overview of CCUS technologies along the full value chain, from capture and purification technologies via compression and liquefaction towards transportation and storage. The focus was on technologies with a high TRL level.
