Your new job

You work at the Projects & Construction department, which is mainly responsible for project management and construction management inside multidisciplinary projects. As a Project Manager you will learn the skills to manage projects. Eventually you are final responsible for multidisciplinary engineering projects, from development till realization. You manage the evaluation, contract information, planning, coordination, organization, control, safety and you monitor quality, planning and budget. You lead the project team and you know how to coach your employees. You have to consult constantly with the client, and you take care of a smooth and correct communication. Further you are responsible for the administration of projects and in the end, the final delivery.

You are a generalist, but you have enough technical background to understand the content of the project.  As a good organizer you are able to make a complex project manageable. You are a multidisciplinary thinker and you know, when necessary, you can adjust different departments. Whatever the size of the project, you keep the overview. Further you make the right decisions at important moments.  You are an entrepreneur with commercial skills; you take care of continuity and you know how to bring in projects. People see you as a natural leader. You communicate easily on different levels and you know how to get other people enthusiastic for your ideas and projects. Further you know how to negotiate and how to bring conflicting views together. As motivator you recognize and you appreciate good results.
 
  • At least a finished technical degree, preferable Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • 5-10 years experience in an engineering project management environment.
