Multiple use of scarce space has become an increasingly important economic factor in the densely-populated Netherlands. Consequently urban planning and redevelopment requires a well thought out strategy, above and below ground. Given the complex and multidisciplinary character of its ambitious Zuidas (Dutch for South Corridor) Plan, the City of Amsterdam invited Bilfinger Tebodin to assist in the project preparations for underground energy networks and utility corridors.
