Commissioning of a photovoltaic plant

Samsung together with some of the world’s leading energy companies is developing renewable energy plants in Canada, USA, Europe. Most of them are solar power plants, among which is a 100 million euro investment to a solar park in Giurgiu county (southern Romania).

The project, controlled by Samsung indirectly (Investor: LJG Green Source Energy Alpha), has a capacity of 45 MW and covers an area of over 100 hectares. The largest functional photovoltaic project in Romania back then had over 180.000 PV Panels installed. Bilfinger Tebodin served as an owner’s engineer, providing the design review, permitting support, overall project and construction management.
