Outstanding quality and safety standards: opening Mars plant in Russia
International company Mars, one of the largest food manufacturers in the world, has put into operation the first phase of their new pet food factory in Rostov region, Russia. The opening ceremony took place mid-October and was attended by local government and Mars’ senior management.
Tebodin supported Mars in the realization of the plant; its completion is a big day for the whole team. The scope of work included procurement of the general contractor, project and construction management, construction supervision, and BIM-model for detail design. The plant is designed according to global quality standards and meets the requirements of LEED gold international environmental certification standards. Mikhail Senichev, Tebodin’s Country Director in Russia: 'We were glad to attend the opening ceremony and proud to initiate the start of cooperation with this global client, here in Russia. We intend to establish a long-term partnership with Mars and extend further cooperation in other countries'.
This project is significant for Tebodin: it received the Bilfinger Safety Award by taking the third place among 65 teams. This achievement has been made due to the high level of the project team’s work and Mars’ standards of occupational health, safety and quality. Victor Kropivka, Project Manager: 'This project became an invaluable work experience at a very high level. Now it is successfully completed and we thank the Mars team for their trust and close cooperation'.
